Completely satisfied

Boys and girls, I can't remember the last time I could say this but I am completely satisfied. No, not in the way that most of you perverts are thinking, but in the I just had a marvelous meal that left me 100% satiated (I know that's a big word for most of you--go to dictionary.com if you are struggling along). ;)
Tonight was date night for Scott & I. Now I know that date night to us doesn't mean anything like date night to most of y'all. Your date nights include romance and conversation--real connectedness after some alone time. Our date night means that we leave the house together--at the same time--and we go get something to eat together--at the same time. Period. lol No romance or conversation for my marriage! That would be too constructive! Ok, all kidding aside, it was a wonderful time because the atmosphere was wonderful, we weren't snapping at each other at all and the food was FANTASTIC.
We went to Buca Di Beppo's with all of it's campy Italian fabulousness because it's one of my favorite places to eat and I wanted to say goodbye to it. I wonder if they have one in Dayton? I guess I should have checked that out before I said goodbye to it. lol Anyways, if you've never been to one of these restaurants, they have amazing authentic Italian food served family-style and the atmosphere has to be experienced more than it can be explained. It's such a charming, slightly cheeky place to dine. Very relaxing and cozy with things to entertain your eye everywhere you look.
I ordered some garlic bread with mozarella to start and I even passed up the wine and ordered a Diet Coke. To eat we had: Penne Arrabbiata (Hearty pasta featuring spicy Italian fennel sausage in a fiery tomato sauce, garnished with Romano cheese.)and Chicken Parmesan. It was sooooo good! And because there were only two of us there, we had plenty to bring home for later! (Because it's served family-style, a small feeds up to four people and a large feed four or more). For dessert we had the Apple Crostata (Warm apples baked in a flaky crust prepared with crunchy almond topping and served with vanilla gelato and warm caramel sauce.) and let me say--HOLY CRAP!! There are no words to describe how good this was! Oh man. That's all I can say. It was soooooo good. I am utterly satisfied.
