Remember

Today is definitely different than the September 11 eight years ago.

Memories of nearly overwhelming fear & grief will never leave me.

My heart continues to go out to the people who suffered or lost that day.

It also goes out to every American who had to experience what it feels like to feel unsafe in their own skins and their own homes.  To be afraid to have their children more than a few inches away from them.  To be afraid to hear a plane in the sky.  So many people around the world have that fear every single day and it is just wrong.

May this be a tragedy that never again happens on American soil.

I will never forget.
