Welcome, today looks beautiful...


Meditation is such an important part of my life.  I had been feeling a little stagnant in my meditation practice, so I decided to switch it up a little bit.  Instead of meditating once per day for 15 minutes, I decided to start meditating two or three times per day for 10-15 minutes each. 

WOW! What a difference that made! I feel refreshed and reconnected.  It's fabulous.

Being a creature of habit, I tend to find meditations that I like and then stick with them.  I prefer music or binaural beats versus guided meditations as well.  I'll have to make another post that lists all of my favorite videos sometime soon.

But getting back to my story... I decided to download the free app Insight Timer (no I'm not sponsored by them, just a fan).  I used to have it on my phone and used it for nothing more than a timer when I meditate.  It didn't really benefit me anymore, so I deleted it.  Well, I received an email recently asking me to look at the updated version that now offered so many more features, so I decided to give it a try.

What a difference!  They now have a VAST selection of meditations and you can search by keywords and themes.  They have groups you can join and message boards so you can learn from each other.  It is awesome.

I have come across a few meditations that I love and have incorporated as a regular part of my routine.  The one listed above with the picture is one of my favorites.  It is a short and sweet little meditation (only ten minutes), but it sets such a lovely tone to your day.  The man's voice is very calming and welcoming (is there anything worse than a guided meditation with a shrill or sharp voice?).  I have sent this to a few friends, but I thought I would share with you as well.  I hope you enjoy it.  I put the link under the picture.  Click and reconnect!
